What other customers have said:

I appreciate all the help I was given by the ESO at a difficult time for me, as I had lost my confidence due to losing my job and was anxious to find another position. I needed help with my applications due to my disability and getting that support enabled me to secure my present position.
Gavin D.
Since Capability Scotland became involved with support for myself, I have sorted out several serious problems at work because of having great representation from Employment services.
Tony H.
The Program gave me the opportunity to use my existing skills and previous experience. I gained confidence in a job that I loved which will remain with me for the rest of my career. This success also led to being asked to manage a further project."

Information for Partners

We work in partnership with many organisations to deliver successful training and development programmes.

What can we do for you?

  • Working together to achieve job outcomes for our customers
  • Providing interventions for your clients
  • Refer your clients to Capability Scotland's Work Choice programme by being a Statutory Referral Organisation

What is a Statutory Referral Organisation?

A Statutory Referral Organisation (SRO) is an organisation which will be authorised to act in partnership in order to directly introduce suitable disabled people to the Work Choice programme. These will be organisations that provide a statutory service that helps disabled people.

These organisations will have been commissioned by, or has a contract with, either:

  • a Local Authority; or
  • a Primary Care Trust; or
  • a Local Education Authority; or
  • Skills Development Scotland

And acts on behalf of them to support disabled people with the highest support needs to consider and move into employment, particularly those with learning disabilities and mental health conditions.

It is anticipated that this will be particularly helpful for people who might not visit or contact a Jobcentre Plus office and therefore would not normally come into contact with DEA services.

What other partners have said:

Working in partnership with Capability Scotland enabled Bridges Project's clients to access specialist help and support for moving forward in their lives. The individual approach taken by Capability Scotland staff made the Personal Development Planning course more meaningful to them and enhanced the working relationships between clients and all the staff involved.
Fiona Langskaill, Head of Education and Employability, Bridges Project
